Susumu Kurihara is a Professor of Physics at Waseda University. He recieved PhD at University of Tokyo in 1976. Thereafter he was a Research Associate at the Institute of Solid State Physics at University of Tokyo and a Group Leader at the Basic Research Laboratories of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT).
We are interested in various topics in condensed matter theory, especially in quantum mechanical orders and its fluctuation. Phenomena of interest include superconductivity, superfluidity, Bose-Einstein condensation and macroscopic quantum tunnelling.
